We are pleased to announce our new name, Premier Literacy. Although we're still Premier Assistive, you'll begin seeing Premier Literacy taking on a much more visible presence during the coming year.

Since its inception (as Premier Assistive), Premier Literacy has always been committed to providing effective and affordable technology solutions to help a widely varied audience of individuals who have reading and writing challenges. Typically the narrow definition of "assistive technologies" has meant that individuals must meet a level of qualification to be granted access to these technologies, regardless of the vendor. However, in the last 5 years, as the direct result of increased awareness and education in the marketplace and our schools, we have seen a growing recognition of the potential benefits to serve the overall literacy needs of many more individuals who historically would not have had access to these technologies--individuals who need to improve their reading and writing skills to function at a higher level both in school AND in the workplace. With this broadened approach to literacy and our expanded audience, we want to ensure that our name reflects this focus as we strive to help more people than ever before.

At Premier Literacy, you'll still see a comprehensive portfolio of literacy products at an affordable price, still experience pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful customer service and technical support and, of course, you still have our commitment to stay on the leading edge of innovation in this digital age. Look for our new name, but expect the same high quality and service you've come to know.

GOOD NEWS from our Premier Users!!

We often hear Good News about how Premier's tools have helped a variety of users. Here are a few that prove the technologies make a REAL difference.

As part of Premier's partnership with the LD Resources Foundation, a number of individuals found that their challenges didn't have to limit them. One individual was extremely thankful for the gift of "hope and inclusion" provided to those with disabilities or impairments. With the help of the tools on the Key to Access portable device and the expanded educational employment and social opportunites, he felt that he would be able to achieve his future employment objectivesYour browser may not support display of this image..

An individual with severe dyslexia uses Premier's Key to Access MP3 player with 10 literacy tools and said it has made a world of difference for him. He was told he would never make it through college, but these technologies have given him the opportunity to succeed.

We received a special "Thank You" from a woman who lost her eyesight 19 years ago and was devastated that she would never be able to read another book. With Premier's Scan and Read Pro software and our Text-To-Audio program, she can read her books again!
