E-Text Reader Features
- Compatible: Works with multiple File Formats including: Standard Text, MS Word (compatible with .doc and .docx files), HTML and Rich Text Formats. Cut and Paste “to” or “from” any program.
- Reading options : Adjustable reading speeds plus ability to read one word at a time or continuously.
- Bookmarks: Insert bookmarks to mark locations in the text.
- Highlighting features: Use the built-in highlighters to highlight text for studies.
- Change Fonts: You can change the print fonts. The default is Arial, but you can change it to any font on your computer.
- Spelling: Misspelled words are underlined in red.
- Tracking: Highlights and tracks each word as it reads.
- Colors: Change foreground and background colors.
Outline / Highlight Extraction Features
Special attention was given to the highlight colours used for highlighting. These unique colors will not interfere with the background colors added to documents by other programs. If you have a document with a background color and then you add highlighting to the document, our highlight extraction technology can distinguish the difference between the highlighted text and foreground / background colors. Frequently documents contain formatting and images. Our new extraction technology will include all images and text formatting, even bullets, numbering, hyperlinks, indentation, font size and type.
- Highlight with four different colours: Blue, Green, Pink and Yellow
- Customized Extraction: Based on a single colour or all the colors of the highlighted information
- Document format retention: Format of the extracted information is retained during extraction including graphics that are part of the highlighted text
- Selectable reading. Read entire document, just the highlighted information, or just one highlight colour
Language Model Information Summarization (LMIS)
The LMIS feature is Premier's unique information summarization technology that lets you quickly summarize the information in a document, whether it's a range of pages or an entire document. This powerful tool is constructed using language model algorithms developed by Premier Literacy and can be dynamically adjusted to meet your needs.
Everyone can benefit from these tools regardless of their role or responsibilities. LMIS lets you quickly and efficiently digest large volumes of text-based content and identify the essential ideas of any publication.
Highlight Text
Since the interface is actually a word processor, you can select and highlight text just like you would use a highlighter in a regular book. You can also insert any number of "bookmarks". You can save these bookmarks with the documents so the next time you open it, you can quickly go back to a point of interest or to where you left off. In addition to highlighting and bookmarks, you can “underline” and “bold” text so that they can be easily identified.
Handy Bookmarks
How many people can finish a lengthy novel like "War and Peace" in a single setting? Virtually no one can. That is why we have given you the ability to insert bookmarks. You can insert an unlimited number of bookmarks. These bookmarks can be saved such that when you open the document, you can quickly navigate from bookmark to bookmark.
When you use the E-Text Reader to read a document, you can hear highlighted portions of text read aloud in a different voice. It breaks up the monotony of Text-to-Speech engine pauses by switching to a different voice chosen by the user. The pausing and switching of the voices provides enough variation to jar the brain awake again. The audible change in reading serves as a stimulus to re-engage your attention.
Easy to use
Everything in the E-Text Reader can be controlled with hot keys or Icons on the toolbar, making it easy for everyone to use. We have also built-in the electronic manual so that the E-Text Reader can actually read its own manual to you.
